Privacy Policy
Effective date: 31 October 2026
No Sleep Till is a macOS menu bar app by Jan Baborák ("I", "me"). This policy explains what happens with your data when you use the app and the website nosleeptill.1am.works.
Short version
No Sleep Till does not collect, store or share personal data about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What the app does happens on your Mac.
Who is responsible
Jan Baborák, a sole trader (fyzická osoba podnikající) registered in the Czech Republic, ID (IČO) 74828321, with registered office at Paťanka 2610/3b, 160 00 Praha, Czech Republic. Contact: hej@1am.works.
What the app does on your Mac
Settings and statistics. The app saves your settings, how long it has kept your Mac awake, and whether you have said thanks or rated the app. This stays on your Mac and is never sent anywhere. Deleting the app and its data removes it.
Till work's done. To decide when your work has finished, the app checks which processes are running and how busy the CPU and GPU are. This is processed on your Mac, shown in the app window, and not stored or sent anywhere.
Eyes off. The cover hides your screen. The app does not record, capture or store what is on your screen. If you turn on unlock, macOS checks your Touch ID or password. The app never receives your fingerprint or password.
Permissions. The app does not ask for Accessibility, Input Monitoring or Screen Recording access.
Third parties
Tips. Tips are in-app purchases handled by Apple. I do not receive your name or payment details. Apple may give me sales reports without personal data. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase.
Rating. The rating prompt is provided by macOS and the App Store.
Buy Me a Coffee. The link opens in your browser. The app sends nothing to that service. Its own privacy policy applies once you open it.
App Store. Apple collects its own data about downloads and use under its own privacy policy.
Website
nosleeptill.1am.works is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the time and the requested page to deliver and protect the site, and may do so outside the EU under the safeguards described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy. I do not add cookies or analytics to the site. The legal basis is legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you email me
Messages sent to hej@1am.works are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to my mailbox. I use your email address and message only to reply. The legal basis is legitimate interest in answering you. I keep the conversation as long as needed to help you, then delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and you can object to processing. The app holds no data about you, so these rights apply only to emails you send me and website logs. You can also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
Children
No Sleep Till is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will publish the new version at this address with a new effective date.
